Mushanga Social Training Center (MSTC) is situated in Mushanga Parish; Mbarara Archdiocese, Bushenyi District   (now Sheema) and South Western part of Uganda. It is on the main road, 38km from Mbarara-Ishaka-Fort Portal Road. Mushanga area enjoys a good climate although rain is very unpredictable. When rain is available, we are able to grow almost all types of food crops, vegetables and fruits.

Mushanga was first thought of by The Grail around 1958. At that time, it was the Dutch and German Grail (Friedel Steven) who came to Uganda to help us with Medical and Social services under the invitation of Bishop Ogez. This Grail team initiated Women Clubs which over the years have evolve into what is presently called “Mbarara Diocesan Social Services and Development”  or “CARITAS MBARARA” with a Woman Desk.

Mushanga Social Training Center's aim of existence is to provide space
where people can come for Retreats, Training in short courses, Seminars,
Workshops and Meetings.

To train Leaders in Leadership skills both men and women
Act as a demonstration Centre for improved farming practices
To train youth in life skills improvement for self-sustainability
(computer and      small income generating project trainings)
To offer quality services and facilities to Priests, Religious leaders,
Laity, other church organization, NGOs and all our clients.

Lord make me what you have destined me to be.
